A Word on Materials

I use a wide variety of animal fibers, including wool from Lincoln, Shetland and Romney sheep, llama, mohair and alpaca. I source the vast majority of that fiber from small scale farmers in Oregon and Southern Washington. The farms I work with take excellent care of their animals, and I often know the name of the creatures who provide the raw materials for my handspun. I am grateful to the local private farmers who provide me with a natural, ethical basis for spinning. There is community in these pieces.
